Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Flotation of fine particles in the presence of combined microbubbles and conventional bubbles

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceIt is known that fine and ultrafine particles are difficult to float mainly due to their low collision efficiency with bubbles. In this paper, the effect of microbubble addition, on the recovery of fine quartz particles floated with

Study on the Nucleation and Growth of Fine Particles in Flue Gas Promoted by Heterogeneous Condensation of Water Vapor

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2017
:Traditional dust collecting equipments cannot capture fine particles from coal-fired flue gas efficiently due to their small sizes.A heterogeneous condensation technology was proposed for a wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) system to improve its ...

Microscopic mechanism of content of fine particles affecting seepage erosion law

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Exploring the transport characteristics of fine particles is of great engineering significance for clarifying the law of seepage erosion, as the content of fine particles will directly affect the resistance of soils to erodibility.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

High-field ferromagnetic resonance in fine particles

open access: yes, 1998
We investigate high-field ferromagnetic resonance of superparamagnetic particles with uniaxial anisotropy, In this case, since the field is large enough to saturate the magnetization, the thermal orientational fluctuations of the magnetic moment of the ...

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
