The Effect of Fine Dispersed Slag Component on the Slag Portland Cement Properties

Materials Science Forum, 2020
Cement compositions based on slag Portland cement and fine dispersed slag component are considered. It has been established that the introduction of 1-3% fine slag obtained as a result of ultrafine grinding in a jet mill into the slag Portland cement composition provides an increase in the strength and structural characteristics of cement stone from ...

N-doped residual carbon from coal gasification fine slag decorated with Fe3O4 nanoparticles for electromagnetic wave absorption

Journal of Materials Science & Technology, 2022
The electromagnetic wave absorption (EMWA) performance of materials is affected by their dielectric and magnetic properties. Here, ferroferric oxide@N-doped residual carbon (Fe3O4@NRC) composites were successfully fabricated by decorating NRC with Fe3O4 ...

Recovery of residual carbon from coal gasification fine slag by a combined gravity separation-flotation process.

Journal of Environmental Management, 2023
Recovering inner residual carbon is important for fully utilizing coal gasification fine slag (CGFS) resources. In this study, we adopted a combined gravity-separation and flotation process to efficiently recover residual carbon by considering the ...

Effects of slag fineness on durability of mortars

Journal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE A, 2007
In recent years, the usages of by-products and wastes in industry have become more important. The importance of the sustainable development is also of increasing. The utilizations of wastes, as mineral admixture or fine aggregate, reduce the consumption of the natural resources and improve the durability of concrete.

Influence of fineness on the cementitious properties of steel slag

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2014
In this paper, the influence of fineness on the cementitious properties of steel slag and the properties of cement containing steel slag with different finenesses were investigated. The results show that increasing the fineness can significantly enhance the early as well as the late cementitious properties of steel slag.

Low carbon cementitious materials: Sodium sulfate activated ultra-fine slag/fly ash blends at ambient temperature

Journal of Cleaner Production, 2021
Na2SO4 (NS)-activated slag as a kind of alkali-activated slag (AAS) had great development potential in low carbon cementitious materials field, because NS could be obtained from natural resources with much lower CO2 emissions than NaOH and water glass ...

Enhancement of Iron Recovery from Steelmaking Slag Fines by Process Optimization of Upgrading the Slag Fines with Dry Magnetic Separation

Journal of Sustainable Metallurgy, 2016
Steelmaking slags are usually processed for iron recovery by dry magnetic separation. The recovered iron-rich products are recycled back into the ironmaking and steelmaking processes to replace high-cost steel scrap and iron ores. However, current slag processing is far away from optimum conditions, especially for slag fines with small particle sizes ...
