Reconfigurable computing solution for Peptide Mass Fingerprinting

2008 11th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment, 2008
The paper describes a high-performance rcconfigurable computing solution for real-time peptide mass fingerprinting. The FPGA system can process the raw mass spectrum generated by a MALDI-ToF mass spectrometer and perform a search against the entire MSDB database in 240 ms.

Dictio probatoria as Fingerprint: Computer Discovery of Manuscript Provenances

Computers and the Humanities, 1978
Publisher Summary Circulating libraries have perennially had a hard time getting their books back from the sort of borrowers whose scholarship is stronger than their honesty. In the manuscript period, before 1450, there was another form of fraud against which libraries had to protect themselves, the substitution of a poor copy for an expensive ...

Sort similarity based on computational method for chemical fingerprinting

China Journal of Chinese Matera Medica, 2010
The key parts of chemical fingerprinting. However, the performance of the current whole similarity determining method sometimes is inadequate when the chromatograms of different classes are similar. The present study was focused on developing a sort similarity measure determining method for these problems.

Soft computing method for minutiae-based fingerprint authentication

International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering, 2018
In this paper, the fingerprint authentication is obtained by using fuzzy logic system, which is based on bell shaped intuitionistic fuzzy number. The minutiae points extracted from fingerprint images which are treated as a fuzzy number. The important of the proposed work is to find out the two identical fingerprint images based on minutiae points, from

Multi-Factor Fingerprints for Personal Computer Hardware

MILCOM 2007 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2007
This paper describes software-based techniques for generating fingerprints that are capable of reliably differentiating, with a high level of confidence, identically configured personal computer (PC) hardware. These fingerprints are based on the characteristics of the quartz crystals that control the frequencies of various clock signals within the PC ...

Adaptive illumination in computer screen assisted spectral fingerprinting

Applied Physics Letters, 2005
The computer screen photoassisted technique (CSPT) uses displays as controlled light sources for measuring spectral fingerprints of color substances, such as those present in bioassays. Here, the possibility of tuning the illuminating sequences for matching CSPT fingerprints with target spectral transmittances is demonstrated.

ATPDI: a computational definition of fingerprint singular points

International Journal of Information Technology and Management, 2012
In this paper, a computational definition of fingerprint singular points based on aligned tri-coloured pixel-wise directional image, called ATPDI, is presented. The traditional descriptive definitions, geometric definition, and ISO/IEC definition are explained in detail with discussion of their advantages and disadvantages.
