Weeding... It Isn\u27t Just For Gardens [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Sorry, I haven’t posted in a while; I’ve been holding out until I got to the finishing stages of the Collection Development project. Yes, that’s right, for the past couple of weeks, when I was pacing up and down the stacks on the second floor, I was not ...

Parameter optimization by Taguchi Methods for finishing advanced ceramic balls using a novel eccentric lapping machine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The final finishing process of advanced ceramic balls used in hybrid precision bearings constitutes two-thirds of the total manufacturing cost, and hence effective and economic finishing methods and processes are critical to their widespread application.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Dyeing wool fabrics with specialized dyes and their mixtures using supercritical CO2

open access: yesScientific Reports
Wool has been colored in supercritical carbon dioxide in a few trials, yielding only a small spectrum of colors, mostly orange and yellow, with minimal research on alternative color combinations.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Investigation On The Role of Cavity and Slit of Cavity Resonators to Sound Absorption Behavior [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Slit resonator and also perforated resonator are few kind of room interior finishing. They act as sound absorbers. Gen-erally, they are constructed of at least three basic types of absorbers, such as porous, membrane and cavity compo-nents.These types of

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
