Application of the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method to a challenging real-world EMC problem

1999 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatability. Symposium Record (Cat. No.99CH36261), 2003
As high speed systems place greater demands on electronic packaging and interconnects, numerical simulation at the package and circuit board levels before prototyping is needed to produce designs which meet stringent EMI, EMC, signal integrity, and timing constraints.

Performance Evaluation of the Three-Dimensional Finite-Difference Time-Domain(FDTD) Method on Fermi Architecture GPUs

2011
GPUs excel at solving many parallel problems and hence dramatically increase the computation performance. In electrodynamics and many other fields, FDTD method is widely used due to its simplicity, accuracy, and practicability. In this paper, we applied the FDTD method on the Fermi Architecture GPUs, the latest product of NVidia, for a better ...

Practical finite difference time domain (FDTD) shielding analysis of thin coatings and shield bonding methods

1999 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatability. Symposium Record (Cat. No.99CH36261), 2003
Thin coatings such as indium tin oxide (ITO) or gold splatter on glass are often used on electronic display enclosures for shielding to allow compliance with radiated emissions standards while allowing optical transmission. The thin coatings are often bonded to the display enclosure to allow realization of the maximum shielding.
