On finite time stability with guaranteed cost control of uncertain linear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
summary:This paper deals with the design of a robust state feedback control law for a class of uncertain linear time varying systems. Uncertainties are assumed to be time varying, in one-block norm bounded form.

Foundational Machine‐Learning Interatomic Potential for Simulating Chemically Complex Ni‐Based Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We apply a foundational machine‐learning interatomic potential based on the graph atomic cluster expansion (GRACE) to simulate the commercial Ni‐based single‐crystal superalloy CMSX‐4. Hybrid Monte‐Carlo/molecular dynamics sampling resolves short‐range order in the γ phase and L12 sublattice occupancies in the γ’ phase and connects them to stacking ...

Finite Time Stability of Dynamical Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1968
In many cases of practical interest, there is concern with the behavior of dynamical systems only over a finite time interval. This concern may arise in one of two ways: in one case the system under consideration is defined over a fixed and finite ...

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Finite-time stability of discrete-time systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we deal with some finite-time control problems for discrete-time linear systems. First we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for finite-time stability; these conditions require either the computation of the state transition matrix ...

Finite-Time Stability and Stabilization of Itô-Type Stochastic Singular Systems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
This paper is concerned with the finite-time stability and stabilization problems for linear Itô stochastic singular systems. The condition of existence and uniqueness of solution to such class of systems are first given.

Enhanced Ultrasound Transmission Through Aberration Layers Using Space‐Coiling Acoustic Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Enhancing ultrasound transmission through an aberration layer exhibiting mismatched impedance with the surrounding medium possesses great implications in imaging and treatment. In this study, we show that a space‐coiling acoustic metamaterial with judiciously tailored structural profile can help improve impedance matching.

Robust H∞ control of time-varying systems with stochastic non-linearities: the finite-horizon case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The official published version can be obtained from the link below. This paper is concerned with the robust H∞ control problem for the class of uncertain non-linear discrete time-varying stochastic systems with a covariance constraint.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
