Finite type invariants for knotoids [PDF]
We extend the theory of Vassiliev (or finite type) invariants for knots to knotoids using two different approaches. Firstly, we take closures on knotoids to obtain knots and we use the Vassiliev invariants for knots, proving that these are knotoid isotopy invariant.

ISOMETRIC FOLDING OF FINITE TYPE [PDF]
In this paper we introduced a new type of isometric folding we called it isometric folding of finite type. We proved that any isometric folding is of finite type if it determines a stratification on M made up of finitely many strata of dimensions 0 and 1.

SUBSHIFTS OF FINITE TYPE WITH A HOLE
AbstractWe consider a subshift of finite type on q symbols with a union of t cylinders based at words of identical length p as the hole. We explore the relationship between the escape rate into the hole and a rational function, $r(z)$ , of correlations between forbidden words in the subshift with the hole.

On Normality in Shifts of Finite Type [PDF]
In this paper we consider the notion of normality of sequences in shifts of finite type. A sequence is normal if the frequency of each block exists and is equal to the Parry measure of the block. We give a characterization of normality in terms of incompressibility by lossless transducers. The result was already known in the case of the full shift.

A Note on Type-Symmetries in Finite Games
In two-action generalized polymatrix games, Nash equilibria are support-type-symmetric, i.e., determined by supports for each type of player. We show that such a property does not generalize straightforwardly for games with at least three actions or ...

Explicit Stable Finite Difference Methods for Diffusion-Reaction Type Equations
By the iteration of the theta-formula and treating the neighbors explicitly such as the unconditionally positive finite difference (UPFD) methods, we construct a new 2-stage explicit algorithm to solve partial differential equations containing a ...

Finite $F$-representation type for homogeneous coordinate rings of non-Fano varieties [PDF]
Finite $F$-representation type is an important notion in characteristic-$p$ commutative algebra, but explicit examples of varieties with or without this property are few.

On representations of finite type [PDF]
Representations of the (infinite) canonical anticommutation relations and the associated operator algebra, the fermion algebra, are studied. A “coupling constant” (in (0,1]) is defined for primary states of “finite type” of that algebra. Primary, faithful states of finite type with arbitrary coupling are constructed and classified.
