MODELING OF TWO-PHASE FLUID FILTRATION FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

open access: yesВестник Северо-Кавказского федерального университета, 2022
The problem of oil production by means of non-piston water displacement is considered. The numerical model for twophase incompressible fluid filtration is designed.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Use of system identification techniques for improving airframe finite element models using test data [PDF]

open access: yes
A method for using system identification techniques to improve airframe finite element models was developed and demonstrated. The method uses linear sensitivity matrices to relate changes in selected physical parameters to changes in total system ...

Re-constructing the river bed using the streamline-generation method

open access: yesMethodsX
River bed reconstruction plays an essential part in supporting the hydrodynamic simulation and understanding the morphological processes of a river. The streamlines can be solved using Laplace equations.

Application of the Finite Element Method to Rotary Wing Aeroelasticity [PDF]

open access: yes
A finite element method for the spatial discretization of the dynamic equations of equilibrium governing rotary-wing aeroelastic problems is presented. Formulation of the finite element equations is based on weighted Galerkin residuals.

Smoothed Finite Element Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, the smoothed finite element method (SFEM) is proposed for 2D elastic problems by incorporation of the cell-wise strain smoothing operation into the conventional finite elements.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Time Domain Finite Element Method for Maxwell’s Equations

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we discuss a time domain finite element method for the approximate solution of Maxwell's equations. A weak formulation is derived for the electric and magnetic fields with appropriate initial and boundary conditions, and the problem is ...

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

Finite element method for time-space-fractional Schrodinger equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article, we develop a fully discrete finite element method for the nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLS) with time- and space-fractional derivatives.
