Numerical Analysis of Open Hole Specimen Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2014
Finite element model is built to predict specimensize effect based on nominal strength. The progressive damage model is described completely and compared with experimental results of diferent scaling geometry.

Non-linear 3D finite element analysis of the anchorage zones of pretensioned concrete girders and experimental verification

open access: yes, 2018
This paper focuses on the modelling of the anchorage zone of a pretensioned girder. The finite element software Abaqus was used to create a 3D non-linear finite element model (FEM). This analysis was performed on a full-scale pretensioned girder with end

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Finite element analysis of a composite material interface [PDF]

open access: yes
A finite element model of a composite material interface is developed to study the influence of the interface on the thermal strain in the composite. A plane stress model is used with an axisymmetric model as a check.

Saturation Assumption and Finite Element Method for a One-Dimensional Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper we refer to the hierarchical finite element method and stabilization techniques for convection–diffusion equations. In particular, the aim is to outline an application of saturation assumption to a posteriori error estimates for such ...

Light‐Controlled Reversible Coassembly of Hybrid Functional Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐responsive hybrid nanostructures are formed by coassembling azobenzene‐ and PAH‐functionalized nanoparticles through reversible an tunable π interactions. The system enables tunable coupling between distinct components such as gold and magnetite or carbon nanotubes, producing switchable optical and magnetic properties under light and magnetic ...
