A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

A finite element model updating method for aqueduct structures based on Bayesian theory
The structural condition of aqueducts changes over time due to various influencing factors. Consequently, parameters used in finite element analysis may not reflect the real-time state of the structure.

Finite element model of Reisner’s plates in stresses
A method for calculating bending plates by the finite element method based on Reisner's theory is proposed. The method is based on the fundamental principles of minimum of additional energy and possible displacements.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

A Composite Finite Element-Finite Difference Model Applied to Turbulence Modelling [PDF]
Turbulence has been modeled by a two equation k-?turbulence model to investigate the wind induced circulation patterns in coastal waters. Predictions of the model have been compared by the predictions of two equation k-?turbulence model. Kinetic energy of turbulence is k, dissipation rate of turbulence is ?, and frequency of turbulence is ?.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.
