Finite lattices as relative congruence lattices of finite algebras
Algebra universalis, 2007Let A be a finite algebra and $${\mathcal{Q}}$$ a quasivariety. By $${\rm Con}_{{\mathcal{Q}}}$$ A is meant the lattice of congruences θ on ...

Abstract We show how the grand canonical partition function for QCD on a finite lattice can be expanded in terms of the canonical partition functions for a fixed number of fermions. The results of numerical simulations on a 4 4 lattice are described. Evidence is found for the positivity and continuity of the canonical partitions functions.

I discuss various aspects of finite-density QCD on the lattice. At the heart of the paper lies a discussion of the similarity of simulations in the quenched approximation and those of a certain eight-flavor theory with the fermionic determinant taken into account. The results of some numerical simulations on small lattices are presented.

Finitely Generated Free Orthomodular Lattices. III
International Journal of Theoretical Physics, 2000For all \(k\in N\), the authors give a description of finitely generated free algebras in the variety generated by the horizontal sum of one three-atomic block \(2^3\) and \(k-1\) two-atomic blocks \(2^2\). This extends the results obtained in Part I [\textit{M. Haviar, P. Konôpka, H. A. Priestley} and \textit{C. B. Wegener}, Int. J. Theor. Phys.

Congruence Lattices of Finite Lattices as Concept Lattices
1990In formal concept analysis it is of increasing interest to compute and to represent congruence lattices of finite lattices (for instance, to assist adequate drawings of concept lattices). In this note we give a representation of such congruence lattices as concept lattices which allows the use of developed computer programs to determine and to draw ...

Let L be any finite simple lattice of at least three elements, whose co-atoms intersect to 0. One principal result of the paper is that L is not dual isomorphic to the lattice of subvarieties of any locally finite variety. A second principal result is that these statements are equivalent: (i) L is isomorphic to the congruence lattice of a finite ...

Lattice QCD at Finite Temperature
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002After a brief introduction into basic aspects of the formulation of lattice regularized QCD at finite temperature and density we discuss our current understanding of the QCD phase diagram at finite temperature, present results on the QCD equation of state, the transition temperature and the heavy quark free energy.
