Quantum electrodynamics in finite volume and nonrelativistic effective field theories

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
Electromagnetic effects are increasingly being accounted for in lattice quantum chromodynamics computations. Because of their long-range nature, they lead to large finite-size effects over which it is important to gain analytical control. Nonrelativistic

Lattices of Finite Abelian Groups [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete & Computational Geometry, 2019
We study certain lattices constructed from finite abelian groups. We show that such a lattice is eutactic, thereby confirming a conjecture by Böttcher, Eisenbarth, Fukshansky, Garcia, Maharaj. Our methods also yield simpler proofs of two known results: First, such a lattice is strongly eutactic if and only if the abelian group has odd order or is ...

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Nonuniqueness of lattice Boltzmann schemes derived from finite difference methods

open access: yesExamples and Counterexamples
Recently, the construction of finite difference schemes from lattice Boltzmann schemes has been rigorously analyzed [Bellotti et al. (2022), Numer. Math. 152, pp. 1–40].

Frontiers of finite temperature lattice QCD

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
I review a selection of recent finite temperature lattice results of the past years. First I discuss the extension of the equation of state towards high temperatures and finite densities, then I show recent results on the QCD topological susceptibility ...

Enhancing Optoelectronic Properties in Phthalocyanine‐Based SURMOFs: Synthesis of ABAB Linkers by Avoiding Statistical Condensation with Tailored Building Blocks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Search of QCD phase transition points in the canonical approach of the NJL model

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
We study the Lee-Yang zeros in the canonical approach to search phase transition points at finite temperature and density in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model as an effective model of QCD.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Finite lattices and Gröbner bases [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, 2012
AbstractGröbner bases of binomial ideals arising from finite lattices will be studied. In terms of Gröbner bases and initial ideals, a characterization of finite distributive lattices as well as planar distributive lattices will be given.
