Signalizer lattices in finite groups
The following question was suggested by a theorem of Pálfy and Pudlák: is each nonempty finite lattice isomorphic to an overgroup lattice \(\mathcal O_G(H)\) for some finite group \(G\) and subgroup \(H\) of \(G\)? The answer is almost certainly negative. However the question has remained open for almost 30 years since the paper of Pálfy and Pudlák was

High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

On Representing Finite Lattices as Intervals in Subgroup Lattices of Finite Groups

This study shows that lizard osteoderm capping tissue is a hyper‐mineralized hydroxyapatite layer consistently covering the superficial osteoderm surface in those species studied here, yet it varies greatly in morphology, nanostructure, and mechanical performance across species.

Ultrathin AlOxHy interlayers between aluminum films and polymer substrates significantly improve electro‐mechanical properties of flexible thin film systems. By precisely controlling interlayer thickness using atomic layer deposition, this study identifies an optimal interlayer thickness of 5–10 nm that enhances ductility and delays cracking.

On bimodal size distribution of spin clusters in the onedimensional Ising model
The size distribution of geometrical spin clusters is exactly found for the onedimensional Ising model of finite extent. For the values of lattice constant β above some “critical value” βc the found size distribution demonstrates the non-monotonic ...

On $p$-convexification of the Banach-Kantorovich lattice [PDF]
Let $B$ be a complete Boolean algebra, $Q(B)$ the Stone compact of $B$, and let $C_\infty (Q(B))$ be the commutative unital algebra of all continuous functions $x: Q(B) \to [-\infty, +\infty]$, assuming possibly the values $\pm\infty$ on nowhere-dense ...
