Epidemic Models with Immunization and Mutations on a Finite Population
We propose two variants of a stochastic epidemic model in which the disease is spread by mobile particles performing random walks on the complete graph.

A Note on a Finite Population Plan
Wynn gives an example of a balanced incomplete block design for 24 varieties in 56 blocks of three plots each which involves only 24 distinct blocks. It is shown that this design can be obtained from a hierarchic group divisible association scheme, and is one of a set of eight possible designs.

The Maintenance of Polygenic Variation in Finite Populations [PDF]
Models of the maintenance of genetic variance in a polygenic trait have usually assumed that population size is infinite and that selection is weak. Consequently, they will overestimate the amount of variation maintained in finite populations. I derive approximations for the equilibrium genetic variance, V^G in finite populations under weak stabilizing

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.

Evidence for Itinerant Ferromagnetic Flat Bands Producing Large Transverse Responses
Itinerant ferromagnetic flat bands are demonstrated in GdCo5 with a high Curie temperature of 940K, a stacked honeycomb–kagome lattice, through angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy and magneto‐thermoelectric measurements. These topological flat bands generate large Berry curvaturte, producing gigantic anomalous Nernst effect with record‐high ...

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Finite Population Dynamics and Mixed Equilibria [PDF]
This paper examines the stability of mixed-strategy Nash equilibria of symmetric games, viewed as population profiles in dynamical systems with learning within a single, finite population. Alternative models of imitation and myopic best reply are considered under different assumptions on the speed of adjustment.

This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...
