On a Product of Finite Monoids
Semigroup Forum, 1998The authors associate with a finite monoid \(S_0\) and \(m\) finite commutative monoids \(S_1,\dots,S_m\) a product \(\lozenge_m(S_m,\dots,S_1,S_0)\). There is a representation of the free objects in the pseudovariety \(\lozenge_m({\mathcal W}_m,\dots,{\mathcal W}_1,{\mathcal W}_0)\) generated by these \((m+1)\)-ary products where \(S_i\in{\mathcal W ...

Commuting finite Blaschke products
Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, 1999We consider the set of finite Blaschke products $F$ for which the fixed points on the circle $S^1$ are expanding and we prove that if $F'(x) \ne F'(y)$ for all different fixed points $x,y$ of $F$ on $S^1$, then $F$ commutes only with its own powers.

The main result of this chapter is a complete description of all finite abelian groups as direct products of cyclic p-groups. By passing from abelian groups to modules over a principal ideal domain, we show that this result gives canonical forms for matrices. The essential uniqueness of the factorization of a finite abelian group as a direct product of

Reformulation of finite-temperature dilepton production
Physical Review D, 1990The multiplicity of ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ or ${\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ pairs produced at finite temperature is expressed in terms of the photon proper self-energy at finite temperature. The production rate is strongly dependent on the four-momentum ${q}^{\ensuremath{\mu}}$ of the lepton pair and has a resonance
