Remarks on Conjectures in Block Theory of Finite Groups
In this paper, we focus on Brauer’s height zero conjecture, Robinson’s conjecture, and Olsson’s conjecture regarding the direct product of finite groups and give relative versions of these conjectures by restricting them to the algebraic concept of the ...

Products of finite simple groups
AbstractWe call a group an R-group when it has the property that each of its simple, normal subgroups has a solvable outer-automorphism group. In this paper we study R-groups which can be written as the product of two non-Abelian simple groups. We show that if G is an R-group which is the product of two non-Abelian simple groups, then all the proper ...

Performance Triggered Adaptive Model Reduction for Soil Moisture Estimation in Precision Irrigation
ABSTRACT Accurate soil moisture information is essential for precise irrigation to enhance water use efficiency. Estimating soil moisture based on limited soil moisture sensors is especially critical for obtaining comprehensive soil moisture information when dealing with large‐scale agricultural fields.

A Characterization of the Finite Simple Groups
The first main theorem is that if \(N\) and \(G\) are simple groups with \(|N|\) dividing \(|G|\), all indices of maximal subgroups of \(N\) being indices of maximal subgroups of \(G\), and the smallest such index being equal to the two groups, then \(N=G\) except in the two cases \((N,G)=(L_2(11),M_{11})\) and \((N,G)=(U_3(3),S_6(2))\). The proof uses

The glomerular filtration barrier (GFB) is the first step of blood filtration by the kidneys. The concerning increase of kidney diseases makes the development of new models essential. In this context, microphysiological glomerular filtration barriers focus on closely reproducing the physiological architecture of the in vivo GFB: podocytes, glomerular ...

On a Sufficient Condition for the Existence of a Periodic Part in the Shunkov Group
The group $ G $ is saturated with groups from the set of groups if any a finite subgroup $ K $ of $ G $ is contained in a subgroup of $ G $, which is isomorphic to some group in $ \mathfrak{X} $.

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

Finite simple groups of low rank: Hurwitz generation and (2,3)-generation [PDF]
Let us consider the set of non-abelian finite simple groups which admit non-trivial irreducible projective representations of degree ≤7 over an algebraically closed field F of characteristic p≥0 .

Hybrid materials enable high‐performance components but are challenging to process. This study explores an inductive heating concept with spray cooling for steel–aluminum specimens in a two‐step process including friction welding and cup backward extrusion.

Finite simple groups and finite primitive permutation groups [PDF]
The classification of the finite simple groups has had far-reaching consequences for many branches of algebra. This paper is a discussion of several problems about primitive permutation groups which have been solved using the simple group classification.
