Optimal finite-precision state-estimate feedback controller realizations of discrete-time systems

open access: yes, 2000
This paper investigates the stability issue of a discrete-time control system, where a state-estimate feedback controller (SEFC), digitally implemented with fixed-point format, is used.

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Finite-Time Stability Analysis of a Discrete-Time Generalized Reaction–Diffusion System

open access: yesMathematics
This paper delves into a comprehensive analysis of a generalized impulsive discrete reaction–diffusion system under periodic boundary conditions. It investigates the behavior of reactant concentrations through a model governed by partial differential ...

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Inverse Identification of Energy‐Dependent Laser Absorptivity in NiTi Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion via Calibrated Melt Pool Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Stability of delay differential equations via delayed matrix sine and cosine of polynomial degrees

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this paper, we study the finite time stability of delay differential equations via a delayed matrix cosine and sine of polynomial degrees. Firstly, we give two alternative formulas of the solutions for a delay linear differential equation.

Finite-time stability of a class of nonlinear fractional delay difference systems

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2019
In this paper, we firstly develop an inequality on the rising function, which help us to deal with the fractional integral (sum) in terms of Holder inequality.

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.
