Finitistic Dimension Conjecture

Gorenstein acyclic complexes and finitistic dimensions
Given a two-sided noetherian ring $A$ with a dualizing complex, we show that the big finitistic dimension of $A$ is finite if and only if every bounded below Gorenstein-projective-acyclic cochain complex of Gorenstein-projective $A$-modules is contractible.

Finitistic dimensions of semiprimary rings
Let \(R\) be a semiprimary ring and let \(J\) denote the Jacobson radical. It is shown that if the left generalized projective dimension of \(R/J^ 2\) is finite, then the injectively defined left finitistic dimension of \(R\) is finite. Here a left module is said to have finite generalized projective dimension if there exists an integer \(m\geq 0 ...

Applications of stratifying systems to the finitistic dimension
The authors study stratifying systems, Ext-injective stratifying systems and Ext-projective stratifying systems. One of the interesting results in the paper is that the authors establish a relationship between an Ext-injective stratifying system (with certain condition on projective dimension) and the finitistic dimension, and therefore find a bound ...

Finitistic dimensions over commutative DG-rings
AbstractIn this paper we study the finitistic dimensions of commutative noetherian non-positive DG-rings with finite amplitude. We prove that any DG-module M of finite flat dimension over such a DG-ring satisfies $${\textrm{proj}\,\textrm{dim}}_A(M) \le \dim (\textrm{H}^0 (A)) - \inf (M)$$

Derived delooping levels and finitistic dimension
In this paper, we develop new ideas regarding the finitistic dimension conjecture, or the findim conjecture for short. Specifically, we improve upon the delooping level by introducing three new invariants called the effective delooping level $\mathrm{edell}$, the sub-derived delooping level $\mathrm{subddell}$, and the derived delooping level $\mathrm ...

Radical preservation and the finitistic dimension
Abstract We introduce the notion of radical preservation and prove that a radical‐preserving homomorphism of left artinian rings of finite projective dimension with superfluous kernel reflects the finiteness of the little finitistic, big finitistic, and global dimension. As an application, we prove that every bound quiver algebra with
