Using extensive searching, habitat suitability models, and minimum convex polygons, our paper presents the B. chinensis invasion and establishment of supercolonies at multiple sites across GSMNP. Our suitability models suggest moderate B. chinensis invasion potential for a large portion of the park, and we suggest that human disturbance has facilitated

Node-by-node disassembly of a mutualistic interaction web driven by species introductions [PDF]
Interaction webs summarize the diverse interactions among species in communities. The addition or loss of particular species and the alteration of key interactions can lead to the disassembly of the entire interaction web, although the nontrophic effects

Quantifying the role of termite decomposition in a mesic savanna
Savanna ecosystems are highly vulnerable to climate and land‐use changes yet lack precise assessments of carbon cycling. In a large‐scale termite suppression experiment, we found that termites accounted for two thirds of the mass loss from dry wood and a third of the mass loss from fresh native wood, dry dung, and dry grass.
