Multivariate MIMO FIR inverses

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2003
The problem of computing exact finite impulse response (FIR) inverses for multivariate multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) FIR systems is considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions for invertibility are given, along with computation techniques. Random systems and structured systems are defined.

FIR parity check codes

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2000
This paper describes a method for packet synchronization and error detection for use in a synchronous digital communications system. The method relies upon a class of linear block codes that have parity checks that are expressed in terms of a finite-impulse response (FIR) filter.

Maximally flat FIR filters

1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
A new Bernstein approximant for minimax filters is suggested. Explicit solutions for maximally flat and monotonic filters are obtained as a special case of the new Bernstein approximant for all linear-phase finite impulse response (FIR) filter types. A design technique starting from arbitrary specifications is described.

FIR-median hybrid filters with predictive FIR substructures

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1988
Median filters are especially used when processing signal which exhibit smooth behaviour with unknown switching points (e.g. blood pressure signals). They work on the basis of the so-called Standard Median (SM) filter algorithm. A better solution has been found by the introduction of finite-impulse-response (FIR) median hybrid filters (FMH) which allow

H2 OPTIMAL DECOUPLING FIRS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002
Abstract FIR compensator design for H 2 -optimal decoupling of measurable or previewed signals in discrete-time linear time-invariant systems is considered. The algorithm for the FIR system weighting matrices computation is based on pseudoinversion techniques aiming to minimize the l 2 norm of the overall system impulse responses.
