Constructing a quadratic-exponential FIR-filter with an extended frequency response midrange [PDF]
This article is concerned with synthesizing filter with finite impulse response (FIR-filters) employed to correct radially symmetric distortions such as defocusing. We propose a new parametric class of finite impulse response filters (FIR-filters) based

An efficient FIR filter architecture [PDF]
An efficient architecture for finite impulse response (FIR) filters is described. By exploiting the reduced complexity made possible by the use of sparse powers-of-two coefficients, an FIR filter tap can be implemented with only 2B full adders and 2B (or 4B) latches, where B is the intermediate wordlength.

Causal and stable FIR-IIR Wiener filters
IIR Wiener filters are the optimum filters with minimum MSE. In general, these filters are noncausal and their causal counterparts have larger MSE. In this paper, we propose causal and stable FIR-IIR Wiener filters which have the same MSE performance ...

ABSTRACT In this study, ten novel compounds (IPH1–IPH10) were designed by integrating three pharmacophores (isatin, piperazine, and hydrazone) commonly found in the molecular structures of anticancer agents. The target molecules were obtained by the reaction of in‐house prepared 4‐(4‐(pyridin/pyrimidin‐2‐yl)piperazin‐1‐yl)benzohydrazide with various ...

The complexity of narrow transition band FIR filters is highand can be reduced by using frequency response masking (FRM) techniques. Thesetechniques use a combination of periodic model filters and masking filters.

Frequency-Invariant Beamforming with Real FIR-filters [PDF]
Frequency-invariant arrays are widely used in communication systems, audio processing and radar. For this applications wideband beam steering with FIR-filters is required. The paper presents a fixed frequency-invariant beamforming method. Proposed method

Patient‐derived xenograft (PDX) tumor models initiated in avian chorioallantoic membranes (CAM) are under investigation to evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic options with the objective of personalizing treatments. CAM PDXs paired with ultra‐high frequency ultrasound (UHFUS) imaging could potentially constitute prospective high throughput assays ...

On Factored FIR Approximation of IIR Filters
We present a simple algorithm for the factored polynomial (Finite Impulse Response, FIR) approximation of rational (Infinite Impulse Response, IIR) filters which may be used to construct inverse filters.
