Self‐Sustaining Sensing Systems: Integration Strategies and Signal–Power Matching in Energy‐Harvesting Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Energy‐harvesting‐integrated sensors couple ambient energy conversion with sensing, processing, and wireless communication. This review organizes recent progress through integration architectures and operating principles, revisiting co‐packaged, monolithic, and co‐functional designs together with always‐on, event‐driven, and multi‐modal sensing modes ...

Decoding the Neural Circuit Underlying Context‐Cue Association in Retrieval of Morphine Reward Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Contextual cues recruit the glutamatergic vCA1–dmPFC pathway to retrieve morphine reward memory by reshaping cell‐type‐specific prefrontal microcircuit activity. Distinct regulation of PV+ and SST+ interneurons defines this hippocampal–prefrontal mechanism.

Bioinspired Metastable Transient Peeling for Repeatable Rapid Release

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the explosive seed ejection of the squirting cucumber, this work introduces metastable transient peeling that temporally regulates stored interfacial energy release via a tunable energy barrier. A viscoelastic hemispherical gripper achieves 52 ms ultrafast, residue‐free release with 300 000‐cycle durability, enabling damage‐free handling of

Adaptive Network Stabilization Despite Profound Structural Reorganization in Human Organotypic Cultures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult human organotypic cortical slices undergo marked neuronal loss, laminar disruption, and glial activation, yet their network activity progressively stabilizes after a variable period. Electrophysiology, longitudinal calcium imaging, and quantitative histology show that structurally remodeled human circuits show adaptive capacity resulting in ...
