First Coincident Radar and Optical Observations of a Meteor Radio Afterglow

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract It has been hypothesized that Meteor Radio Afterglows (MRAs) occur due to resonant transition radiation (RTR) where suprathermal electrons emit as they pass through electron density inhomogeneities in a turbulent plasma. Meteor trails are thought to produce suprathermal electrons through anion oxidation, which can be identified through meteor ...

Impact of Doi Moi Agricultural Reforms on Vietnamese Crop Production

open access: yesAgricultural Economics, Volume 57, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study uses a natural experiment design to evaluate the effects of the Doi Moi revolution in Vietnam on production outcomes for the country's five largest crops (rice, coffee, tea, cassava, and rubber). We test whether Doi Moi reforms had statistically measurable impacts on agricultural production using the synthetic control method (SCM ...

Microscopic and molecular aspects of skeletal muscle alterations in cerebral palsy

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 343-357, March 2026.
Cerebral palsy, caused by non‐progressive brain injury, is frequently accompanied by skeletal muscle alterations. This review synthesizes current evidence from muscle biopsy studies, revealing cellular and molecular adaptations in muscle tissue. Abstract Cerebral palsy (CP), the most prevalent childhood‐onset motor disability, frequently entails ...

Constructing National Higher Education Brands: Korea, India and Israel Compared

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Education, Volume 61, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examines the websites of the national higher education (HE) brands of Study in Korea, Study in India and Study in Israel, exploring how these ‘offbeat’ destinations position themselves in the global HE market. Drawing on rhetorical analysis and employing a qualitative comparative case study approach, it reveals the key identity ...

Mobile Powerhouses: Mitochondria Transfer via Tunnelling Nanotubes in Brain Health and Neurodegenerative Diseases

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 6, March 2026.
Within the brain microenvironment, mitochondria are preferentially transferred from glial cells to metabolically stressed neurons via tunnelling nanotubes (TNTs). This intercellular exchange restores bioenergetic homeostasis and contributes to mitochondrial quality control through transmitophagy.
