Two-dimensional fireballs as a Lagrangian Ermakov system

open access: yesPhysics Letters, Section A: General, Atomic and Solid State Physics
The equations of motion for the variance of strictly one-dimensional or two-dimensional non-relativistic fireballs are derived, from the hydrodynamic equations for an ideal, structureless Boltzmann gas.

Single fireball and fireball ideal gas

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1977
In this paper we study the partition function of a macroscopic hadron system with two models. In one model the mathematical fireball appears as a fundamental particle in a Boltzmann ideal gas occupying a volumeV. In a second model the macroscopic volumeV is divided in noninteracting boxes of volumeV0, each one containing an interacting-pion gas.

Pajala Fireball

2021
<p>Meteoroids entering the Earth's atmosphere are associated with a number of phenomena including ablation, ambipolar diffusion, plasma transport, chemical reactions, shock waves, and plasma turbulence. A bright daylight fireball observed on 2020-12-04 13:30 UTC with two meteor cameras located in Skibotn and Sørreisa allowed ...

BLEVES and Fireballs

2016
The storage of flammable liquids and vapors in closed vessels can lead to a catastrophic failure of the vessel during a fire. When a vessel explosion involves a flammable substance, it is usually followed by a fireball [1]. If the flammable material is stored as a pressure liquefied gas, a sudden failure of the storage vessel may result in a Boiling ...

Emergence of the Fireball

1988
When the first atoms appeared in the universe the radiation decoupled from the matter and expanded freely into space. And as the universe expanded it cooled until today it has a temperature of only 3 K.
