This article provides information about the life and work of Abdulhamid Cholpon, a poet from Andijan, who entered Uzbek poetry in the 1920s like lightning. In Cholpon's poetry, the interests of the people and the Motherland are paramount. The talented poet fell victim to the repressive policies of the dictatorial Soviet regime.
