All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

CREDIT-X1local: A reference dataset for machine learning seismology from ChinArray in Southwest ChinaKey points

open access: yesEarthquake Science
High-quality datasets are critical for the development of advanced machine-learning algorithms in seismology. Here, we present an earthquake dataset based on the ChinArray Phase I records (X1).

Flows, flares, and formation of umbrae and light bridges in BBSO region No. 1167 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
We present high-resolution observations of the large active region BBSO No. 1167 (Boulder No. 5060) which cast new light on the structure of sunspot regions.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Determination of Moho depth and dip beneath MEDNET station AQU by analysis of broadband receiver functions

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 1994
We applied the receiver function technique to retrieve Moho depth and dip beneath the MEDNET very-broadband seismographic station at l'Aquila, in the Central Apennines.

Temporal Dynamics of Binocular Disparity Processing with Corticogeniculate Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
A neural model is developed to probe how corticogeniculate feedback may contribute to the dynamics of binocular vision. Feedforward and feedback interactions among retinal, lateral geniculate, and cortical simple and complex cells are used to simulate ...

Coupled spin models for magnetic variation of planets and stars

open access: yes, 2011
Geomagnetism is characterized by intermittent polarity reversals and rapid fluctuations. We have recently proposed a coupled macro-spin model to describe these dynamics based on the idea that the whole dynamo mechanism is described by the coherent ...

Flexibility and Dynamicity Enhances and Controls Supramolecular Self‐Assembly of Zinc(II) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

The 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake (M JMA = 6.7) was triggered by a strike-slip faulting in a stepover segment: insights from the aftershock distribution and the focal mechanism solution of the main shock

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2019
The Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake (M JMA = 6.7) occurred on September 6, 2018, in the Hokkaido corner region where the Kurile and northeastern Japan island arcs meet.
