Infrastructure expansion, tourism and electoral outcomes

open access: yesEconomica, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper examines the electoral impact of economic growth through increased foreign tourism using data from Croatia. To identify causal effects, the paper applies an instrumental variable strategy, which uses variation in the ruggedness of the local terrain to estimate the network of least‐cost paths.

Knowledge, Attitudes and Practical Experience With CAD/CAM Technology Among Dental Students in Croatia: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction CAD/CAM (Computer‐Aided Design/Computer‐Aided Manufacturing) technology has become integral to modern dental practice, requiring structured integration into dental education. However, little is known about how well dental students in Croatia understand and engage with these technologies.

Zagreb Connection Indices of Subdivision and Semi-Total Point Operations on Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2019
Representation or coding of the molecular graphs with the help of numerical numbers plays a vital role in the studies of physicochemical and structural properties of the chemical compounds that are involved in the molecular graphs.

Knowledge, Attitudes, and Perceptions of Evidence‐Based Dentistry Among Final‐Year Dental Students: A Multinational Study Across 6 Countries and 8 Universities

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Evidence‐based dentistry (EBD) refers to the use of the best available evidence in combination with clinical expertise and patient values to guide clinical decision‐making. Whilst evidence‐based medicine (EBM) is widely adopted in medicine, EBD is much less frequently used in dentistry. Research into dental students' views towards

Topological Characterization of Carbon Graphite and Crystal Cubic Carbon Structures

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
Graph theory is used for modeling, designing, analysis and understanding chemical structures or chemical networks and their properties. The molecular graph is a graph consisting of atoms called vertices and the chemical bond between atoms called edges ...

Risk Disclosure as a Resilience Tool in Central Governments: Assessing Current Practices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands

open access: yesFinancial Accountability &Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To be resilient, governments must quickly adapt their policies and working methods to new and uncertain situations. This article examines whether risk disclosure, as part of the anticipatory capacities of these organizations, can help identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

On the indices of certain graph products [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Combinatorics
Molecular descriptors are numerical graph invariants that are used to study the chemical structure of molecules. In this paper, we determine the upper bound of the Sombor index based on four operations involving the subdivision graph, semi-total point ...

Acclimatization length and post‐release spatial cohesion in translocated Griffon Vultures (Gyps fulvus)

open access: yesIbis, EarlyView.
Translocations are often used in the conservation of large raptors, including Old World vultures. Different release methods are usually assessed by comparing the movement patterns and survival of released individuals. However, these approaches fail to capture the gregarious behaviour of many vulture species.
