Characterization of Catalyst Materials for Production of Aerospace Fuels [PDF]
Due to environmental, economic, and security issues, there is a greater need for cleaner alternative fuels. There will undoubtedly be a shift from crude oil to non-petroleum sources as a feedstock for aviation (and other transportation) fuels ...

New zeolites in fischer-tropsch synthesis
Liquid fuels as well as liquid chemical feedstock can be produced from abundantly available sources such as coal or natural gas via syngas and subsequent Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). Continuing earlier investigations of various authors on zeolites A, X, Y, or ZSM-5 in FTS, this paper deals with mordenite, erionite, ZSM- 11, ZSM-12, and zeolites L ...

Spray‐flame synthesis enables highly flexible and scalable production of multinary and high‐entropy oxide nanoparticles due to high synthesis temperatures with subsequent quenching. Temperature‐dependent in situ diffraction of as‐synthesized materials clearly reveals entropy stabilization in rock salt lattices, while spinels—featuring tetrahedral and ...

Carbon deposition in the Bosch process with ruthenium and ruthenium-iron alloy catalysts [PDF]
The effectiveness of ruthenium and the alloys 50Ru50Fe and 33Ru67Fe as alternatives to iron, nickel, and cobalt catalysts in recovering oxygen from metabolic carbon dioxide was investigated.

Considerations on coal gasification [PDF]
Commercial processes for the gasification of coal with oxygen are discussed. The Koppers-Totzek process for the gasification of coal dust entrained in a stream of gasifying agents is described in particular detail.

Addressing the challenges inherent in dry reforming of methane (DRM), this paper focuses on the structural design and performance optimization of Ni‐based catalysts. The modulation strategies for DRM are systematically reviewed across four dimensions: the micromorphology of active metals, metal‐support interactions, electronic modifications by ...

Promoted cobalt metal catalysts suitable for the production of lower olefins from natural gas
The conversion of natural gas to chemicals and fuels via the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process, depends on the ability of catalyst materials to suppress the formation of methane and carbon dioxide.
