Changing food availability and its effect on the heritability of offspring size in woodland passerine birds

Mobile consumers influence the shoreward edge of intertidal seagrass ecosystems

Ecological paradigms suggest that the environmentally stressful edge of a habitat is determined by physical factors. The work finds that, counter to these paradigms, an environmentally stressful edge can also be impacted by biotic interactions and are more complex than suggested.

Spatial overlap and temporal synchrony between guilds of insect hosts and parasitoids

This study identified a spatial overlap between insect host guild richness and parasitoid richness. Species richness in parasitoid guilds always increased later in the season than richness of their host guilds. These findings suggest that shifts in climate and land‐use may alter the synchrony of insect trophic layers.
