Novel Channel-First Fishbone FETs With Symmetrical Threshold Voltages and Balanced Driving Currents Using Single Work Function Metal Process

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 2022
In this article, one feasible fabrication approach for novel fishbone FETs using the channel-first and single work function metal (sWFM) processes is proposed and investigated by 3-D technical computer-aided design (TCAD) simulations.

Multidirectional Bending Soft Pneumatic Actuator With Fishbone-Like Strain-Limiting Layer for Dexterous Manipulation

IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters
Soft pneumatic actuators (SPAs), due to their compliance and adaptiveness, are promising solutions for manipulation. However, most SPAs have only simple motion modes and cannot perform the compound motion required for complex manipulation. In this letter,

Nonideal fishbone instability

Physics of Plasmas, 2002
It is shown that there exists a nonideal collisionless fishbone mode in toroidal plasmas, which may lead to the formation of the magnetic islands and thermal crashes during fishbone activity. The mode arises because of the resonance interaction between the energetic trapped ions and the collisionless m=1 nonideal kink mode.
