Bronchoesophageal fistula (BEF) is an undesirable consequence of esophageal cancer. A BEF is encountered in 5% to 15% of patients with esophageal cancer. It is generally a life-threatening complication because of the development of recurrent pulmonary infection and sepsis. We present a case with esophageal cancer and acquired BEF.

..Pancreaticopleural fistula (PPF) is an unusual pancreatic disease; as of 2015, only 74 cases have been described in the world literature. PPF is observed in 0.4% of acute pancreatitis and in 4.5% of patients with pancreatic pseudocysts. In 90% of cases, it occurs as a complication of chronic pancreatitis.

A 7 3-year-old man presented with pain in the right flank and fever. A ureteroduodenal fistula was demonstrated by intravenous pyelography and excised with nephroureterectomy. This seems to be the 8th case of such a lesion.

A small series of 14 post-stapedectomy fistulae illustrates the varied aetiology. The long-term competence of the oval window seal may be ensured by making a small hole in the footplate. Contraction of ageing fibrous tissue contributes to late stapedectomy failures.
