Applied Psychology, 2001
The paper argues that two traditions have dominated research on person–environment fit, the individual differences tradition and the organisational psychology tradition. I briefly review these traditions using the present set of papers as exemplars of these traditions.

Reductionist accounts of objective chance rely on a notion of fit, which ties the chances at a world to the frequencies at that world. Here, I criticize extant measures of the fit of a chance system and draw on recent literature in epistemic utility theory to propose a new model: chances fit a world insofar as they are accurate at that world.

Trait fitness is not a propensity, but fitness variation is
Studies in History and Philosophy of Science Part C: Studies in History and Philosophy of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, 2013The propensity interpretation of fitness draws on the propensity interpretation of probability, but advocates of the former have not attended sufficiently to problems with the latter. The causal power of C to bring about E is not well-represented by the conditional probability Pr(E|C).

Further Five-Point Fit Ellipse Fitting
Graphical Models and Image Processing, 1999Abstract The least-squares method is the most commonly used technique for fitting an ellipse through a set of points. However, it has a low breakdown point, which means that it performs poorly in the presence of outliers. We describe various alternative methods for ellipse fitting which are more robust: the Theil–Sen, least median of squares, Hilbert
