Methanol, ethanol and formalin are commonly used as fixatives to preserve biological tissues from decay in the preparation of histological sections. Fixation of the inner layers of the tissue depends on the ability of the fixative to diffuse into the ...

DRD2 Deficiency Underlies Pituitary Adenoma Dependent on Escherichia coli Translocation from the Gut
Dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) deficiency disrupts epithelial barrier integrity in both the gut and pituitary gland, facilitating translocation of gut‐derived Escherichia coli into pituitary tissue. Intratumoral E. coli are phagocytosed by microglia, triggering GSDMD‐dependent pyroptosis and HMGB1 release, which subsequently activates MAPK signaling to ...

The ultra‐short‐acting sedative remimazolam has a sustained therapeutic effect on the core symptoms of VPA‐exposed mice. Remimazolam, a GABA agonist, exerts its therapeutic effects by protecting dopamine neurons in the VTA of VPA‐exposed mice. Meanwhile, ferroptosis is the critical mechanism by which remimazolam protects VTA dopaminergic neurons and ...

Impact of Color Fixatives on the Quality and Flavor of Whole Mango Juice during High Temperature Sterilization [PDF]
This study delved into the impacts of five color fixatives (β-cyclodextrin, citric acid, calcium chloride, phytic acid, and ascorbic acid) on the color and flavor attributes (taste and volatile compounds) of whole mango juice (WMJ) subjected to high ...

Testicular mRNA‐LNP Delivery: A Novel Therapy for Genetic Spermatogenic Disorders
In the current study, we developed a novel therapy for genetic spermatogenic disorders. It was revealed that in vivo delivery of mRNA LNP3 could restore spermatogenesis in Msh5D486Y/D486Y and Maps KO mouse models with meiotic arrest. Notably, the offspring without genomic integration was born using ICSI derived from the rescue of Msh5D486Y/D486Y mouse ...

Fixed points and homotopy fixed points
Let G be a finite group, EG be a free contractible G-space, and define \(X^{hG}=Map_ G(EG,X)\) (equivariant mapping space). The main theorem of this paper proves that the following two statements are equivalent (Theorem A): (1) G is a p-group. (2) For every finite G-simplicial complex X, the fixed point set \(X^ G=\emptyset\) if and only if \(X^{hG ...

Temporal and Cell‐Specific Regulation of Synaptic Homeostasis by the Chromatin Remodeler Chd1
Chd1, the Drosophila homologue of mammalian CHD2 ‐ a gene linked to autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, is required for synaptic homeostatic plasticity. Chd1 in glia is necessary for the rapid induction of synaptic homeostasis, whereas Chd1 in motoneurons, muscle, and glia is critical for long‐term maintenance.
