A New Approach for the Approximations of Solutions to a Common Fixed Point Problem in Metric Fixed Point Theory

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
We provide sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique common fixed point for a pair of mappings T,S:X→X, where X is a nonempty set endowed with a certain metric. Moreover, a numerical algorithm is presented in order to approximate such solution.

Existence, uniqueness, Ulam–Hyers–Rassias stability, well-posedness and data dependence property related to a fixed point problem in gamma-complete metric spaces with application to integral equations

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2022
In this paper, we study a fixed point problem for certain rational contractions on γ-complete metric spaces. Uniqueness of the fixed point is obtained under additional conditions. The Ulam–Hyers–Rassias stability of the problem is investigated.

The Split Equality Fixed-Point Problem and Its Applications

open access: yesAxioms
It is generally known that in order to solve the split equality fixed-point problem (SEFPP), it is necessary to compute the norm of bounded and linear operators, which is a challenging task in real life.

Modified Krasnoselski–Mann iterative method for hierarchical fixed point problem and split mixed equilibrium problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2020
In this paper, we introduce a modified Krasnoselski–Mann type iterative method for capturing a common solution of a split mixed equilibrium problem and a hierarchical fixed point problem of a finite collection of k-strictly pseudocontractive nonself ...

Positive solutions of a singular fractional boundary value problem with a fractional boundary condition [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2017
For \(\alpha\in(1,2]\), the singular fractional boundary value problem \[D^{\alpha}_{0^+}x+f\left(t,x,D^{\mu}_{0^+}x\right)=0,\quad 0\lt t\lt 1,\] satisfying the boundary conditions \(x(0)=D^{\beta}_{0^+}x(1)=0\), where \(\beta\in(0,\alpha-1]\), \(\mu\in(

The plane fixed point problem

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we present proofs of basic results, including those developed so far by H. Bell, for the plane fixed point problem. Some of these results had been announced much earlier by Bell but without accessible proofs. We define the concept of the variation of a map on a simple closed curve and relate it to the index of the map on that curve: Index

Critical Theory of Non-Fermi Liquid Fixed Point in Multipolar Kondo Problem

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2020
When the ground state of a localized ion is a non-Kramers doublet, such localized ions may carry multipolar moments. For example, Pr^{3+} ions in a cubic environment would possess quadrupolar and octupolar, but no magnetic dipole, moments.

New Existence Results for Fixed Point Problem and Minimization Problem in Compact Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We first present some new existence theorems for fixed point problem and minimization problem in compact metric spaces without assuming that mappings possess convexity property.

Application of Fixed-Point Theory for a Nonlinear Fractional Three-Point Boundary-Value Problem

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
Throughout this paper, via the Schauder fixed-point theorem, a generalization of Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point theorem in a cone, as well as some inequalities relevant to Green’s function, we study the existence of positive solutions of a ...
