PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

New Results and Generalizations for Approximate Fixed Point Property and Their Applications

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We first introduce the concept of manageable functions and then prove some new existence theorems related to approximate fixed point property for manageable functions and α-admissible multivalued maps. As applications of our results, some new fixed point

Some geometric properties concérning fixed point theory

open access: yesRevista Matemática Complutense, 1996
The Fixed Point Theory for nonexpansive mappings is strongly based upon the geometry of the ambient Banach space. In section 1 we state the role which is played by the multidimensional convexity and smoothness in this theory. In section 2 we study the computation of the normal structure coefficient in finite dimensional lp-spaces and its connection ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

On Best Proximity Points under the -Property on Partially Ordered Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Very recently, Abkar and Gabeleh (2013) observed that some best proximity point results under the -property can be obtained from the same results in fixed-point theory. In this paper, motivated by this mentioned work, we show that the most best proximity

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Quadruple fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions on partial metric spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2014
The notion of coupled fixed point was introduced by Guo and Laksmikantham [12]. Later Gnana Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham in [11] investigated the coupled fixed points in the setting of partially ordered set by defining the notion of mixed monotone property.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.
