The Fixed Point Property in c0
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1998AbstractA closed convex subset of c0 has the fixed point property (fpp) if every nonexpansive self mapping of it has a fixed point. All nonempty weak compact convex subsets of c0 are known to have the fpp. We show that closed convex subsets with a nonempty interior and nonempty convex subsets which are compact in a topology slightly coarser than the ...

Order Extensions and the Fixed Point Property
Order, 2008Let \(P\) be a finite ordered set. An element \(a\) of \(P\) is said to be rectractable (to \(b\)) if the map which sends \(a\) onto \(b\) and coincides with the identity map for \(x \neq a\) is order preserving, and irreducible if \(a\) has a unique upper cover or a unique lower cover.

A characterization of fixed point property
Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 1992Zermelo's Theorem can be formulated in terms of the existence of the fixed point of a map \(T: C\to C\) where \(C\) is a nonempty ordered complete set. In this note the author generalizes the situation above for a preordered complete set \(C\) which has a normal order structure. The proof is simple and quite natural.
