Fixed-Time Aperiodic Intermittent Control for Quasi-Bipartite Synchronization of Competitive Neural Networks

open access: yesEntropy
This paper concerns a class of coupled competitive neural networks, subject to disturbance and discontinuous activation functions. To realize the fixed-time quasi-bipartite synchronization, an aperiodic intermittent controller is initially designed ...

Synchronization of ovulation and fixed-time artificial insemination in beef cattle

open access: yesAnimal, 2014
The main objective of the implementation of artificial insemination (AI) in cattle is to produce a sustained genetic progress in the herd. Although AI is an old reproductive biotechnology, its widespread implementation is very recent and is mainly because of the use of protocols that allows AI without oestrus detection, commonly called fixed-time ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Fixed-Time Synchronization of Memristive Fuzzy BAM Cellular Neural Networks With Time-Varying Delays Based on Feedback Controllers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper mainly investigates the fixed-time synchronization problem of memristive fuzzy bidirectional associative memory (BAM) cellular neural networks (MFBAMCNNs) with time-varying delays.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Fixed-Time Synchronization of Complex-Valued Coupled Networks with Hybrid Perturbations via Quantized Control

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This paper considers the fixed-time synchronization of complex-valued coupled networks (CVCNs) with hybrid perturbations (nonlinear bounded external perturbations and stochastic perturbations).

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Further Analysis on Fixed/Preassigned-Time Projective Synchronization of Discontinuous Fuzzy Delayed Inertial Neural Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access
Our goal is addressing the problems of preassigned-time projective synchronization and fixed-time projective synchronization of the system that studied in our article, and fuzzy terms, mixed delays, inertial terms and discontinuous activation function ...

FPGA Realization of Two Different Fractional- Order Time-Delay Chaotic System With Predefined Synchronization Time

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
To solve the problem that the fractional-order system is difficult to implement on FPGA, the chaotic behavior of a single fractional-order Chen system is realized on the FPGA platform in this article by using Laplace transform and Bode-domain ...
