Fixed points vs. coupled fixed points
Journal of Fixed Point Theory and Applications, 2018In this paper, we will show some connections between fixed point and coupled fixed point problems in Banach and metric spaces.

A Fast Fixed-Point Algorithm for Independent Component Analysis of Complex Valued Signals
International Journal of Neural Systems, 2000Separation of complex valued signals is a frequently arising problem in signal processing. For example, separation of convolutively mixed source signals involves computations on complex valued signals.

In this paper, we develop a machine which enables us to predict, in many cases, the exact number of fixed points of a local diffeomorphism. Though much more general, our technique applies in particular to locally expansive maps on compact, connected, orientable differentiable manifolds.

Many embedded systems applications need to perform floating-point calculations. As mentioned in the previous chapter, however, small-scale microcontrollers may not have hardware support for floating-point calculations with a floating-point unit (FPU).

Fixed points of products and the strong fixed point property
Order, 1987This problem motivates the present work: If ordered sets X and Y both have the fixed point property for order preserving maps has their product as well? Here we present a related condition — the so-called strong fixed point property — which arises from naive attempts to solve the problem.

the importance of the following Problem. Let A : X—*Y be a mapping (not necessarily linear) of a topological space X into a topological space Y. Under what conditions is A (X) open in F? The aim of this paper is to give a particular solution of this problem in the case of mappings A : X—>X of a Banach space X into itself.
