Management of the Flabby Ridge Using a Special Impression Technique
The flabby ridge is commonly observed in the anterior region of the maxillary arch in fully edentulous patients. It is characterised by non-adherent hypertrophic mucosal lesions overlying the underlying bone, often with excessive bone resorption. Management of the flabby ridge is essential prior to the placement of a definitive prosthesis, whether by ...

An endophytic fungus (Daldinia sp.) was isolated from the leaves of Avicennia officinalis collected from mangrove forests of Goa. The ethyl acetate extract of Avicennia officinalis (AO‐EA) of the identified endophyte demonstrated antibacterial and antibiofilm activity against Escherichia coli and Shigella sp.

Extending Without Extensors: Morphofunctional Insights and Qualitative Experiments on Myriapod Legs
The distal joints of myriapods are hinge joints and therefore cannot be extended by intrinsic muscles. Using confocal laser scanning microscopy, µCT, semi‐thin sections, and experimental approaches, we investigated the morphology and extension mechanisms of myriapod legs.

Window’s Impression Technique for Anterior Fibrous Maxillary Ridges
This article is aimed at modifying conventional window’s impression technique for making impression of edentulous flabby maxillary ridges. Vinyl Polysiloxane (VPS) impression material was preferred over conventionally used metallic oxide, due to ease of

ABSTRACT Background Photoaging, primarily induced by prolonged ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure, significantly alters skin structure and function, necessitating models for deeper understanding and intervention development. This study aims to establish a BALB/c mouse model for investigating photoaging, leveraging their haired skin and genetic ...

Prosthodontic rehabilitation of patient with flabby ridges with different impression techniques
A fibrous or flabby ridge is a superficial area of mobile soft tissue affecting the maxillary or mandibular alveolar ridges. It can develop when hyperplastic soft tissue replaces the alveolar bone and is a common finding particularly in the upper anterior region of long term denture wearers.

Fixed Drug Eruptions in Malagasy Children: Clinical Observations and Characteristics
Fixed drug eruption is a drug‐induced hypersensitivity reaction characterized by recurrent erythematous‐pigmented lesions at the same site after each exposure to the causative drug. The molecules most frequently implicated are sulfonamides, nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs, anticonvulsants, and paracetamol.
