Standardized Elemental Composition Analysis of Graphene‐Related 2D Materials (GR2M) With SEM/EDS and XPS Works Reliably

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The elemental composition of a series of laboratory graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide materials and a commercial graphene oxide material of high quality is analyzed with the standardless SEM/EDS quantification. XPS is used as a reference method.

Liquid‐Processed 2D Aromatic Amorphous Carbon: Defect Engineering and Universal Transport Scaling

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Liquid‐processed graphene oxide (GO) thin films undergo a controllable crystalline–to–amorphous transition driven by thermal quenching. By kinetically tuning oxygen‐driven defect formation during reduction, scalable 2D aromatic amorphous carbon phases are stabilized, directly linking nanoscale disorder and defect topology to electronic transport ...

Banking on Sustainable Innovation: A Comparative Analysis of Institutional and Regulatory Frameworks for SME Finance in the EU and African Union

open access: yesThunderbird International Business Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines how legal and institutional frameworks influence bank financing for sustainable innovation among SMEs in the European Union (EU) and African Union (AU). Using institutional theory, it analyzes how coercive, normative, and mimetic pressures interact across international, regional, and domestic levels to shape green lending ...

Modelling the surprising recolonisation of an understudied aquatic mammal in a highly urbanised area: fortune favoured the smooth‐coated otter in Singapore

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Ever‐growing human activities present an active and continuing threat to many species throughout the world. Nevertheless, concerted conservation efforts in some regions have balanced these threats and allowed endangered species to recolonise former parts of their original ranges and reverse their decline.

Nocturnal neighbors: exploring residents' perceptions of urban wildlife related to animal traits identified by camera traps and literature

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
Wildlife in urban areas is often a source of conflict, yet relatively few efforts have been directed toward fostering coexistence in these human‐dominated landscapes. While previous research has focused on socio‐demographic factors influencing perceptions of wildlife, the role of specific animal traits in shaping acceptance remains underexplored.
