Cellulose, 2021
The influence of the weaving method on the flame retardancy of the fabrics prepared cannot be ignored. In this work, the thermal stability, flame retardancy, flame-retardant mechanism, mechanical properties and water absorption of cotton/alginate blended knitted fabrics were investigated. Thermogravimetric analysis results showed that the char residues

Cellulose, 2021
It is significant to treat cotton fabrics with flame retardant, which can effectively protect them from damage in the fire. A novel reactive flame retardant coating, ammonium salt of N,N-dimethylene-piperazine-(methylphosphonic acid) (ASNDP), was prepared and employed to enhance the anti-burning effect of pure cotton fabrics. Fourier transform infrared

Polymers for Advanced Technologies, 2021
In this work, a novel phosphorus–nitrogen flame retardant (CN‐DOPO), which was successfully prepared via a facile method of graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) and 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide (DOPO). Polyamide 6 (PA6) composites were then prepared through melt blending with different ratios of g‐C3N4/DOPO and different contents of ...

Flame retardancy and its mechanism of polymers flame retarded by DBDPE/Sb2O3
Journal of Central South University of Technology, 2008The flammability characterization and thermal composition of polymers flame retarded by decabromodiphenylethane (DBDPE) and antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) were studied by cone calorimeter and thermogravimetry (TG). The results show that ABS/DBDPE/Sb2O3 has the similar flammability parameters and thermal composition curves to ABS/DBDPO/Sb2O3.

Progress in Organic Coatings, 2021
Abstract Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabrics are used almost everywhere in daily life. However, they burn with melting and dripping, causing potential dangers. This work aims to solve the melt-dripping phenomenon and improve the flame retardancy of PET fabrics.

Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, 2014
A novel macromolecular intumescent flame retardant (MIFR) was synthesized. Unsaturated polyester (UP) filled with MIFR as flame‐retardant additive was prepared. The effects of MIFR on properties such as tensile strength, impact strength, flame‐retardant behavior, thermal stability, and morphology of char were studied.
