Burned Gas Characteristics of Laminar Lifted Flame at the Beginning of Stream Heating
This research experimentally investigates the exhaust gas characteristics of a methane-air lifted-jet flame with elevated stream temperatures up to 450 K. Emission indices of NOx and CO were measured by direct gas sampling using a gas detector tube.

Multi-sensor fire detection by fusing visual and non-visual flame features [PDF]
This paper proposes a feature-based multi-sensor fire detector operating on ordinary video and long wave infrared (LWIR) thermal images. The detector automatically extracts hot objects from the thermal images by dynamic background subtraction and ...

Thermal Response Characteristics of Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Columns with Flame Encapsulation Thickness [PDF]
In order to elucidate the influence of flame encapsulation thickness on the thermal response characteristics of concrete-filled steel tube columns in a fire environment, a study was conducted focusing on the primary control mechanism of heat radiation ...

Abstract Carbon dioxide emissions in gas turbine power generation can be reduced by adding an increasing amount of hydrogen to the existing natural gas-fueled combustion systems. To enable safe operation, more insight on how H2 addition affects turbulent flame speed and other important flame characteristics is needed.

A simulated study on intermittent flame feature of mass fire in channel structure
Compared with the intermittent thermal-flame behavior in ordinary building, the flame behavior may also occur in mass fire inside channel structures, accompanied by distinct thermal characteristics, which is rarely studied.

Numerical simulations of the flame propagation process are mandatory to predict the consequences of dust explosions. One key parameter of these models is the burning velocity, i.e. the consumption rate of the reactants by the flame front.
