Burned Gas Characteristics of Laminar Lifted Flame at the Beginning of Stream Heating
This research experimentally investigates the exhaust gas characteristics of a methane-air lifted-jet flame with elevated stream temperatures up to 450 K. Emission indices of NOx and CO were measured by direct gas sampling using a gas detector tube.

A Correlation for the Flame Height in "Group" Fires
A correlation of flame heights is presented for recent experiments of merging group fires produced from arrays of gaseous burners. The correlation is based on two considerations: a) the air entrainment up to the flame height is proportional to the stoichiometric requirements for combustion of the fuel and b)the air entrained is equal to the side area ...

A Vortex Model for Wall Flame Height
A two-dimensional vortex model is developed to describe flames on burning walls. The flame is considered a region of intense vorticity generation and is modeled by an equivalent vortex filament. Flame height is predicted by match ing the induced airflow to stoichiometric requirements based on wall mass loss rate or energy release rate. The vortex model

Burning velocity of premixed turbulent flames in the weakly wrinkled regime
PhDTurbulent burning velocities have been measured for methane/air and ethylene/air planar flames stabilised in a wide-angled conical diffuser where the flow is decelerated axially.

Thermal Calculations for Co‐Firing of Hydrogen/Ammonia and Coal in 660‐MW Coal‐Fired Boilers
ABSTRACT To achieve a clean energy transition under the dual carbon goals, blending hydrogen/ammonia into pulverized coal boilers represents a key technological pathway. Different hydrogen/ammonia co‐firing ratios (5%–50%) are investigated for their impact on the thermodynamic characteristics of 660‐MW supercritical boiler at 100% and 20% boiler ...
