Expanding Flash Continuous Glucose Monitoring Technology to a Broader Population [PDF]
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 88 million people have prediabetes, and another 34.2 million have diabetes (1). Projections indicate that, by 2060, the number of adults with diabetes in the United States will triple (2). The literature is rife with data indicating that a large majority of people with diabetes fail to reach ...

PirN was identified as a previously uncharacterized PsbO‐interacting protein specifically induced in nitrate‐grown cyanobacteria. Loss of PirN leads to coordinated downregulation of PsbO and the nitrate reductase NarB, causing decreased PSII activity and impaired growth under nitrate conditions. Complementation with either PsbO or NarB largely restores

Flash Glucose Monitoring Systems in Pediatric Populations With Diabetes
Flash glucose monitoring (FGM) is a method of glucose testing where a sensor inserted into the skin continuously measures interstitial glucose levels. It can be used by people with diabetes to inform treatment decisions, such as insulin dosing, as an alternative or complement to blood glucose testing. Evidence of variable quality from 2 ...

Delivery of Pleckstrin‐Homology Domains Suppresses PI3K/Akt Signaling and Breast Cancer Metastasis
Current therapies curb tumor growth but not metastasis. Obscurin, a giant metastasis suppressor lost in breast cancer, restrains PI3K/Akt signaling but is impractical to restore. We deploy a mini‐obscurin, comprising the obscurin‐PH‐domain, which sequesters PI3K‐p85, potently suppressing invasion and metastasis.

Robust photoregulation of GABA(A) receptors by allosteric modulation with a propofol analogue. [PDF]
Photochemical switches represent a powerful method for improving pharmacological therapies and controlling cellular physiology. Here we report the photoregulation of GABA(A) receptors (GABA(A)Rs) by a derivative of propofol (2,6-diisopropylphenol), a ...
