Experimental performance of water cooled building integrated photovoltaic/thermal solar collectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The idea of integrating water cooled photovoltaic/thermal collectors into building structures (BIPVT collectors) to provide electrical and heat energy is an area that has received only limited attention.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Enhancing performance and mitigating overheating in flat plate solar collectors: A UV-selective coating approach-experimental analysis

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Solar energy has emerged as a highly promising source of renewable energy, with the potential to replace traditional energy sources. Among the key components of solar heating systems is the Flat Plate Solar Collector (FPSC), which captures and converts ...

Outdoor flat-plate collector performance prediction from solar simulator test data [PDF]

open access: yes
Solar collector performance data obtained from tests with a simulator was modified for real-life conditions. The data obtained with the simulator was corrected for the variable conditions of ambient temperature, wind, incident angle, flow rate, etc ...

Design, Analysis and Empirical Researches for Solar Heat Collecting System based on Flat Mirrors Combination [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
There has been a dramatic increase of research on energy production using solar energy. This research aims to examine development of concentrating solar collector that is related to mid-high solar energy field. Although the use of dish type solar thermal

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

A generalized correlation of experimental flat-plate collector performance [PDF]

open access: yes
A generalized collector performance correlation was derived and shown by experimental verification to be of the proper form to account for the majority of the variable conditions encountered both in outdoor and in indoor collector tests. This correlation

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
