Systematic Exploration of 3D Concrete Printing Parameters for Conformal Printing on Sloped Surfaces
A conformal slicing algorithm is developed for robotic 3D concrete printing (3DCP) on sloped surfaces as a first step toward printing slab‐on‐grade foundations on uneven terrain. Systematic experiments quantify the effects of nozzle speed, extrusion rate, and toolpath direction on filament dimension and stability.

Shape and deformation of the Pampean flat slab in Argentina
The dominant forces shaping the unique geometries of flat slabs are still not fully understood. Knowing how the stress field changes with respect to the shape of the slab allows inferences of the dominant forces acting on the slab.

Water budget in flat vs. steep subduction: implication for volcanism and potential for H2 production
In this study, we model the processes of (de)hydration and melting within subduction zones using a thermo-mechanical modeling approach. Multiple 2D simulations are conducted to investigate how the subduction angle influences the water budget in oceanic ...

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

SEISMIC PERFORMANCE ON FLAT SLABS AND BEAM SLAB IN MULTI STOREY BUILDING
<p>Now a days the use of flat slab building provides many advantages over conventional RC Frame building in terms of architectural flexibility, use of space, easier formwork and shorter construction time.

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Flat slab deformation caused by interplate suction force
We image the structure at the southern end of the Peruvian flat subduction zone, using receiver function and surface wave methods. The Nazca slab subducts to ~100 km depth and then remains flat for ~300 km distance before it resumes the dipping ...

A synergistic approach using phenethylammonium iodide (PEAI) and antimony iodide (SbI3) enhances the operational stabilities of perovskite solar cells by providing p‐type doping effect, suitable band energy alignment, reduced defect density, and minimized surface ion vacancies in the perovskite films.

In reinforced concrete flat slab buildings, the transference of unbalanced moments in the slab–column connections usually results from the asymmetry of spans, vertical loads, and horizontal forces from the wind.
