Superatom Distortion Induces Triferroicity and Spin Splitting in Two‐Dimensional Antiferromagnets
The incorporation of superatoms into a 2D square lattice induces symmetry breaking, thereby enabling concurrent coupling among magnetism, ferroelectricity, and ferroelasticity. This strategy achieves triferroic behavior—characterized by spin‐split antiferromagnetic ground states—and offers a viable pathway toward energy‐efficient spintronic devices ...

Prediction of punching shear capacity of RC flat slabs using artificial neural network
Punching shear of flat slabs is a local, brittle failure that may occur before the more favourable ductile flexural failure. This study develops an artificial neural network (ANN) modelling for the prediction of punching shear strength of flat slabs ...

Deformation of multi-storey flat slabs, a site investigation
. Traditional reinforced concrete slabs and beams are widely used for building. The use of flat slab structures gives advantages over traditional reinforced concrete building in terms of design flexibility, easier formwork and use of space and shorter ...

We used a zinc oxide–carbon composite interlayer (ZnO@C) via the electron‐beam (e‐beam) irradiation method to fabricate a cost‐effective, high‐energy‐density, anode‐free solid‐state battery. Chemical anchoring between the ZnO and carbon enabled uniform nanoscale morphology, mitigating the high surface energy of the ZnO NPs.

A multifunctional mercaptosuccinic acid enables an ultrathin organic–inorganic SEI (Zn‐S‐RCOOH) that synergistically regulates interfacial water and accelerates Zn2+ transport. The optimized hydrogen‐bond environment and ZnS‐guided deposition suppress dendrites, corrosion, and by‐product formation, delivering ultrastable Zn cycling and high‐performance

Punching shear strengthening of flat slabs: CFRP and shear reinforcement
Punching in slabs is usually associated to the application of concentrated loads or to the presence of columns. One of the main concerns related to flat slabs is its punching shear capacity at slabcolumn connection, which is subjected to a very complex

An electrochemically induced transformation of polar MgO(111) into Mg(OH)2(001) creates a proton‐conductive hydroxide layer during hydrogen evolution. Operando synchrotron XRD and DFT reveal a low‐barrier Grotthuss proton‐hopping mechanism, establishing a feasible strategy for designing oxide‐hydroxide electrocatalysts with enhanced proton transport ...

CO2 reduction in pure water is enabled by a rapid‐transport fixed‐charge interface that couples nanochannels with a cationic microenvironment. This design eliminates the mass transport plateau, stabilizes key reaction intermediates, and suppresses the hydrogen evolution reaction, ultimately achieving ampere‐level current densities and stable operation ...
