Differential flatness-based adaptive robust tracking control for wheeled mobile robots with slippage disturbances.

ISA transactions, 2023
Wheeled mobile robots (WMRs) have a wide range of applications in logistics transportation and industrial productions, among which the motion control has always been one of the hot spots in the current WMR researches.

Flatness-based control scheme for hardware-in-the-loop simulations of omnidirectional mobile robot

International Conference on Advances in System Simulation, 2019
Omnidirectional robots offer better maneuverability and a greater degree of freedom over conventional wheel mobile robots. However, the design of their control system remains a challenge. In this study, a real-time simulation system is used to design and

A flatness based algorithm for optimal periodic control problems

Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001
We present an algorithm for the efficient solution of optimal periodic control (OPC) problems using a differential flatness approach. Existing methods for OPC problems involve repeated integration of an ODE system to satisfy periodicy and have severe stability and/or accuracy problems.

Flatness-based clutch control for automated manual transmissions

Control Engineering Practice, 2002
Control of the clutch position is a crucial point for automating manual transmissions. Here, an electrohydraulic clutch position control system is considered. Based on the flatness approach, a nonlinear feedforward control is designed, which is combined with a linear feedback control and implemented on a standard transmission control unit.

Robust Flatness-based Control with State Observer-Based Parameter Estimation for PMSM Drive

2018 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Systems for Aircraft, Railway, Ship Propulsion and Road Vehicles & International Transportation Electrification Conference (ESARS-ITEC), 2018
The two new state observers are proposed in this paper to improve the performance and robustness of the flatness-based control against the changeable parameter. The hardware system of the PMSM control is implemented by using a small-scale PMSM of 6-pole,

Flatness based control of oscillators

ZAMM, 2005
Summary: The aim of this paper is to present some recent developments and hints for future researches in control inspired of flatness-based ideas. We focus on motion planning: Steering a system from one state to another. We do not consider stabilization and trajectory tracking.

Flatness-based feedforward control design for flexible structures

2006 IEEE Conference on Computer Aided Control System Design, 2006 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2006 IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control, 2006
This contribution presents a solution to the feedforward tracking control problem for flexible beam structures. The design methodology is based on the modal analysis of the structural dynamics to determine an inverse system representation by parameterizing modal states and system input in terms of a parameterizing function and its time-derivatives ...

Flatness-Based Control of a Simplified Wastewater Treatment Plant

2006 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2006
This paper presents a nonlinear control approach for a simplified activated sludge model that covers the reduction of biodegradable substrate in biological wastewater treatment. In the proposed control scheme, the volume flow of oxygen into the aeration tank and the volume flow of excess sludge out of the settler tank are utilized as manipulated ...
