Biodegradable Flax Fiber Reinforced Eco-Composites
Key Engineering Materials, 2014Formation process of flax fiber reinforced biocomposites based on waterborne matrix systems from modified polymers - polyhydroxybutyrate, poly (vinyl alcohol) was developed by suspension casting technique. Two kind of flax fiber as reinforcement was employed Latvian variety Vega-2 and flax combing.

QUALITY OF MODIFIED FLAX FIBERS
2007When polycarboxil acid affects cellulose, a chemical modification of molecular and also of super molecular fiber structure occurs, making natural fibers modified in such a way that they become interesting for use in new textiles where they can substitute man-made materials on an equal basis. In this paper a chemical modification of flax fabric has been

Processing of Fiber Flax in Oregon
1951Excerpts: Fiber flax is processed in the United States only in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Flax plantings there have varied from 18,000 acres in 1942 to about 1,000 acres in 1950. The 1942 crop yielded 2,000 tons of line fiber, which is about a third of the quantity imported each year.
