Ballistics and Visual Targeting in Flea-Beetles (Alticinae)
Journal of Experimental Biology, 1995ABSTRACT The kinematics of jumping was measured in seven species of flea-beetle (Alticinae). The accuracy of two species during targeted jumping was also investigated. Take-off accelerations ranged from 15 to 270 times gravity. Rotational energy accounted for 4–21 % of the total translational energy. Two species were able to control jump

Control of Flea Beetle on Grape, 1983
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1984Abstract Insecticides were applied to young grape vines to control a ilea beetle on the Yuma Mesa. It appears likely that this beetle moved in from the adjacent desert area where it was abundant and causing severe injury to Oenothera clavaeformis Torr. & Frem.

Flea Beetle Control in Dichondra, 1987
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1988Abstract The experiment was conducted on a dichondra seed farm in Clarksburg, Calif. The test was a completely randomized design with 4 replications. Plot size was 5 × 5 sq ft. The plots were covered with cages constructed from frames with 4 5-ft × 6- inch × 1-inch wooden sides.
